As a guesthouse customer, you can stop by, look after and ride<\/strong> your horse yourself whenever it suits you best. Our stables let in plenty of daylight<\/strong> and have a bedding<\/strong> made of high-quality straw<\/strong>. Your horse can have a<\/strong> bite<\/strong> of that straw – ideal as a fibre-rich<\/strong> supplement to its daily diet. If your horse cannot eat straw, we provide an alternative<\/strong> and low-dust bedding<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

There is plenty of room<\/strong> to move around at The Groom. In addition to standard stalls<\/strong>, we have stalls for mares<\/strong> and foals<\/strong>. Most of our stalls are equipped with an outside hatch<\/strong>, so your horse can easily look outside and will not be bored for a second.<\/p>\n

Finally, we operate a unique mucking out system<\/strong> through which we clean the stables daily<\/strong>. That means your horse can always stay in a clean<\/strong> and dry<\/strong> area. We also refill the straw<\/strong> regularly.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

You can not only board<\/strong> your horse here, but train<\/strong> it on our 40m x 57m outdoor arena<\/strong> (ebb and flow) as well. Thanks to the lighting<\/strong>, you can also ride your horse at night. To keep your horse moving, you can use our lunging circle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the stables are equipped with a double washing<\/strong> area (including hot water<\/strong>) and lockers<\/strong> to store your belongings<\/strong>. An additional advantage is that our stables are protected through camera<\/strong> surveillance<\/strong>, so you can leave your horse with peace of mind<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Lastly, we integrated a solarium<\/strong> with infrared lamps in our stables, where your horse can stay to stimulate his muscles<\/strong> and blood circulation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Every horse is unique<\/strong> and therefore deserves adapted nutrition<\/strong>. Indeed, sport horses<\/strong> need completely different food than mares<\/strong> at the end of their pregnancy. We start with a base of roughage<\/strong> that we supplement with concentrates<\/strong>. After all, a nutritious basis is essential to keep your horse fit<\/strong> and healthy<\/strong>. In consultation with you, we draw up a personalised feeding plan and see whether or not we need to add supplements<\/strong> and\/or medication<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

In the middle of the creek area<\/strong> of the Meetjesland<\/strong> are The Groom’s meadows. The large ponds<\/strong> or creeks and wide panoramic views<\/strong> make the Meetjesland the base for hikers<\/strong>, cyclists<\/strong> and horse riders<\/strong>. Our meadows in particular are equipped with drinking pumps<\/strong>.
