Pension & shop with equipped infrastructure
Do you want to let your horse stay in a comfortable guesthouse or would you like to buy quality horse supplies? In that case, The Groom in Eeklo is the place to be. Managers Johan Stampaert and Nancy Geirnaert are horse lovers to the core and want to offer the best service to both horse and rider.
Before starting their business, Johan and Nancy gained experience by following the feeding patterns of sport, breeding and recreational horses. Meanwhile, they have been in the industry for over 12 years. They founded their guesthouse in 2020; their equestrian shop followed one year later.
Always open, even during holidays & the weekend
Private stables for horses
At The Groom, we believe that horse riding should revolve around relaxation. Therefore, our guesthouse is completely private. That means you can visit from morning to night – even during weekends and holidays – to ride or groom your horse.
One of our great advantages is that horse and rider can completely relax with us. Naturally, all the necessary infrastructure and the right feed are always available. Think of, for instance, a lunging circle, an ebb and flow arena and drinking pumps. In addition, there is a blanket laundry, where you can have (fleece) blankets, saddle cloths and rug necks washed.

(Online) shop with wide range
In addition to private stables, we run an extensive physical equestrian shop. There you can buy clothing, accessories, food and care products from a wide range of brands. The textiles you buy can be embroidered by us to give them a personal touch. We update our range regularly and always focus on quality. If you prefer to shop online, you can easily do so via our web shop.
